Do I need any technical skills?
None at all. If you can fill in a form, you can build your website. You type in your details, upload photos, and the design, hosting, speed, and search setup are handled for you.
What happens when my free trial ends?
Your website pauses until you subscribe — nothing is deleted. You keep full access to your dashboard and everything you built, and the moment you subscribe your site is back online exactly as you left it.
Can I sell products as well as services?
Yes. List services with appointment requests, products with photos and prices, or both. On the Business plan your products can be bought outright: customers add them to a cart, choose delivery or collection, and pay cash, by bank transfer or by card. Stock is held the moment someone orders, so the last one never sells twice.
Do I need to buy a barcode scanner?
No. Your phone is the scanner — open an invoice, tap the camera button, and point it at the barcode. If you already own a USB or Bluetooth scanner it works too, with nothing to install: it types the code and the item appears on the invoice. You can also just type a code in, so a flat battery or a scuffed barcode never stops you serving a customer.
What if my products have no barcodes on them?
We give each product a code of its own, built from your business name — or you can type your own. Print them as shelf labels on ordinary label sheets, with the product name and price beside the barcode, and from then on they scan like anything else in the shop.
Do you take a commission on my bookings or sales?
No. You pay one flat monthly subscription. Bookings, messages, and payments from your customers go directly to you — we never sit in the middle. Card payments in your shop land in your own Stripe account, and the only fee on them is Stripe's own.
What web address will my site have?
Your site lives at your-name.business-lane.com — yours from the moment you sign up. It works great on business cards, social media, and the printable QR posters included with your account.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes, in a couple of clicks from your dashboard — no phone calls, no retention hoops. Your subscription stays active until the end of the period you already paid for.
