A website for your auto repair shop

Most drivers pick a garage the same way: they search, they look at the reviews, and they call whoever looks trustworthy. If your shop has no website, that call goes somewhere else.

Business Lane gives your shop a real web address, a list of the work you do, and a way for a customer to ask about a job before they turn up. You fill in your details once — services, hours, phone number, a few photos of finished work — and the site is live.

Repair pricing is rarely a fixed number, so every service can be listed as "request a quote" instead of a price. A customer describes the car and the problem, the request lands in your dashboard and your inbox, and you answer with a real figure once you know what you are dealing with.

What auto repair shops actually need

  • Quotes, not fixed prices

A timing belt on one car is not a timing belt on another. List a service with "request a quote" and answer with a real number once you know the vehicle.

  • Proof the work is good

Bodywork and restoration sell themselves in pictures. The before/after slider lets a customer drag between the damage and the finished panel.

  • Invoices without the paperwork

Build the invoice as you go, download it as a PDF for the customer, and get an alert when one goes past due.

What you get

  • Every service listed with a price or a "request a quote" button
  • Before/after photos of bodywork, paint and restoration jobs
  • Opening hours, including the Saturday morning you actually open
  • An announcement bar for shutdowns, holidays and courtesy-car notices
  • Customer records and invoices with PDF download

Everything above is on the Website plan at $20 a month. The Business plan at $25 adds customer records, invoices, barcode labels and inventory — compare the two plans.

Questions from auto repair shops

Can customers book a repair slot online?

They can ask for one. A customer picks the service and the day and time that suits them, and the request arrives in your dashboard — you then confirm it, move it, or turn it down, and the message back to the customer is written for you. Nothing is committed to your calendar without you agreeing to it, which matters when a job that looks like an hour turns into a day.

We price every job differently. Does that work?

Yes, and it is the normal case for a garage. Any service can be published without a price, showing a "request a quote" button instead. The customer tells you the make, model and symptom, and you reply with a figure. You can mix the two — a fixed price for an oil change and a quote for everything else.

Can I keep track of parts as well?

On the Business plan, yes. Parts you resell can be held as stock with a low-stock alert, given a barcode label, and scanned straight onto an invoice with your phone camera so the price and quantity are right without typing.
